Handwritten research notes and newspaper clippings relating to Maori. Includes an annotated copy of 'Supplementary report on Maori land tenure and social reorganisation research project'; and an annotated typescript copy of hearings of the Royal Commission to Inquire Into and Report on Claims preferred by Members of the Maori Race touching Certain Lands known as Surplus Lands of the Crown (1948), held in Auckland 25-28 Feb 1947. The latter is headed with the signature of 'Mr W. Paora', presumably Kawharu's father Wiremu Paora., 1960 - 1968
