From the Series:

This series consists of inwards and outwards correspondence between The Holloway Press and others. Correspondence from 1994-1998 was received loose in a file box in no particular order and has consequently been arranged chronologically by year. Correspondence records from 2005 were originally filed within a ring binder which also contained financial records that have been separated out and placed in Series 4 Financial records.

Of particular note is folder 3/1 (1993-1994) which contains a number of records which document the establishment of the Press from its inception in 1993 to its official launch in October 1994. Included are:

1) Handwritten and typescript notes by Alan Loney detailing initial ideas for research publications and proposed books.

2) Notes for Report of Arts Division to the Tamaki Planning Committee 1994.

3) Handwritten and typescript copies of The Holloway Press - A Draft Charter by Alan Loney.

4) Handwritten and typescript Report on the progress of the Establishment of the Holloway Press (July 1993 - June 1994) by Alan Loney.
