From the Series:

Upon transfer to Special Collections the files in this series had already been collated by staff at The Holloway Press. Contents of earlier files were contained either in folders or loose in file boxes, with later files placed in brown paper bags with the name of the production written on the front.

During processing the files were re-housed in acid free folders and any CDs and outsize items were housed separately and can be identified in the finding aid. As items in the files were placed in no particular order they have been sorted into rough chronological order with manuscripts, design and layout records at the back of the file and later stages of production, printing, publicity and book launch records at the front.

The contents of the files vary but most contain an original manuscript, or fascimile, page layout, cover design and printer's proofs. Some also contain photographs, correspondence, invoices, photo negatives, polymer plates, order forms, sample cases, prospectuses and book launch invitations.

They have been arranged in alphabetical order by surname of author.

The Holloway Press publications which Special Collections does not hold production files for are:

1) Rita : seven poems / Colin McCahon ; edited with an afterword and notes by Peter Simpson (2001).

2) Fishwork / Alan Loney ; Max Gimblett ; foreword by John Yau (2009).
