Scope and Contents
In 2006, at the age of 80, Clay was still overseeing the international Reading Recovery programme and attending numerous talks and conferences.
In January she was a guest scholar at the Reading Recovery Trainer in Training Seminar and in February she attended the National Reading Recovery and K-6 Classroom Literacy Conference. Later in the year Clay attended the National Louis University Reading Recovery Programme as part of the Teacher Leader professional development.
Towards the end of 2006 Clay's health deteriorated and she reluctantly cancelled travel to Hong Kong and Taiwan.
