In 1992 Clay visited the USA, UK, Canada, Ireland, Germany, Hawaii and Australia. Folder 1/12/1 contains a year planner which details Clay's itinerary for the year.
In July she attend the International Reading Association's 14th World Congress in Maui, Hawaii where she began her term as President of the organisation.
