Scope and Contents
The subseries covers the period in which Clay completed her PhD and began work at the University of Auckland becoming senior lecturer in the Department of Education in 1968. In 1967, a year after completing her PhD, Clay was the first woman to have an article published in the New Zealand Journal of Educational Studies, a copy of which is included in folder 1/2/2. Folder 1/2/1 contains correspondence and papers relating to her PhD.
In 1970 Clay met the Alexander quadruplets and began her research into multiple births, papers related to this work can be found in folders 1/2/4 and 1/2/5.
