The material in this series comprises of a mix of handwritten drafts for letters, meeting minutes and correspondence, and rough research notes. On many occasions McAra has used the reverse side of State Placement Service forms, printed meeting minutes and reports for his notes and drafts. The majority of the material is undated but the subject matter of many items suggests that they date from the late 1930s until the mid 1940s. It is likely that many items found in draft form here exist elsewhere in the McAra collections in typed form.
