First lines of third waiata begin: "E papawaiari taku nei mahi, taku nei mahi, he taki roimata | E papawaiari taku nei mahi, taku nei mahi, he tuku roimata"

Biographical / Historical
The singer was taught the last song in childhood by Miss Connie Burgoyne, daughter of the first headmaster of the Whakarewerewa school, who was from Te Kau.
