Biographical / Historical

The performers of McL 904 asy this is a lemnt by Maru Kauhau for Tapoto, his nephew. The singers of McL 1222 give Topoto's tribe as Tūhoe and Whakatōhea, but claim him as the composer. Kino Hughes (McL 1259) gives the composer as Wharemokai
