Biographical / Historical

This waiata, which is a sequel to McL 927, mentions Haere Huka of Ohinemutu and others who went on a taua which sought revenge for the killing of Utāwaha by Ngāti Warahoe near Te Teko. After killing him these people had cooked him in an umu and had eaten him.
