Biographical / Historical

According to the singer this pātere is by Te Kapua-o-te-rangi. He learnt it form the composer who died about 10-15 years previously. The composer's great grandfather was a brother of the singer's grandmother. The composer, whose father was a Pakeha, had a good voice which could be heard "a mile away"
