Pe`e: "Ve`eve`e aro`a te Tokerau e | I Pe`ea `oki i matara ai e". This is a Pe`e ve`eve`e aro`aanga, sung by a father to a son who is going to a very far land, not knowing whether they will meet again.
`Īmene: "Ko te karanga e ko te karanga ki tua | Taku metua taivaiva"
