Biographical / Historical

Turau says the first of these pao are love songs from Kahungunu for Paerata; the second are love songs for Parewera by Piki; the third are love songs for Wātapihi and Parewera and Parekaihau; the fourth are songs of lament from Rota for Materina; finally there are love songs for Hakopa from Te Taitua.
