Scope and Contents
Stories and accounts of Niuafo'ou, with additions by Thomas Riddle, recorded in Niuafo'ou, Tonga, in November 1977.
1. Savou's story concludes from previous tape.
2. Pisila Fusitu'a, the noble of Niuafo'ou, tells her version of most of the stories mentioned in the first three tapes. An outline of the long interview follows:
- Maka Mapu Hia, the story of the rock, and of losing the rock while trying to send it to Tongatapu.
- The story of Tongamatamoana.
- The Mahina story.
- Memories of sailing from Niuafo'ou to Tonga.
- The story of the destruction of 'Ahau.
- Memories of the eruption and evacuation in 1946, and of the re-settlement.

3. Thomas Riddle talks about the various speakers and tells his reactions to Niuafo'ou life.
