Scope and Contents

Hiva kakala, 'Hamumu 'a e Loto - Confused Heart', sung in the traditional manner by Hiva 'a Lakepa group in Nuku'alofa, Tonga, Tongatapu. This item is part of the "Music of Tonga" compilation recorded by the Tongan Broadcasting Commission radio station ZCO, now known as A3Z. Noted as being a good example of Tongan music as it was sung before European influence reached Tonga, although is accompanied by guitars.
