The core of this collection is an audio casette tape titled Wireless telegraphy episodes in Wellington, 1911-1914, and episodes Radio Broadcast Station 2YK, Wellington, 1922-25
. The accompanying papers include a memoir by Thomas Clarkson, former Chief Telegraph Engineer with the New Zealand Post and Telegraph Department, of the early days of radio transmission.

Video recordings begin to replace audio recordings from 2004, and a few lectures also include the accompanying slide presentations and notes.
