The diary, 31 December 1929 to 8 January 1931, relates to the working of "land owned by Henare Kaihau's children at the request of A. Ngata" by a party under the direction of Princess Te Puea. The scheme fell through and after a year they moved off the land, which was near Waiuku. English translation of Maori original.
