Thomas, Norman Russell Withiel, 1891-1969

Six folders containing 34 First World War era maps of the Western Front. Collection includes a range of maps from small scale (1: 250,0000) maps of North West Europe through to detailed trench maps. A number of the maps have been annotated with troop positions and/or the names of previous owners.

The papers of Professor Thomas include correspondence, published reports, newspaper clippings, notebooks and cash books, social ephemera and files on the Tarawera Eruption of 1886 and the constitutional rights of the Norfolk Islanders.
