In 1982 The Centrepoint Community applied to the Takapuna City Council for permission to extend its facilities at Albany to accommodate 322 persons. These papers consist of submissions for and against the application presented at hearings conducted by the Takapuna City Council in that year. A schedule of objectors is included. Some submissions in support of the application take the form of essays on various aspects of the Centrepoint philosophy by members of the Community.

Collection contains documents collected by Keith Chambers of the Anthropology Department of the University of Auckland relating to economic and social affairs in the territory; and concerning a possible split between the Gilbert Islands and the Ellice Islands. Includes also reports on the Line and Phoenix Islands (i.e. Christmas Island, Fanning Island, Malden, etc.).
