The earliest material in this collection is from the Waitemata Labour Representation Committee and includes correspondence proposing its formation in 1935, a report of its inaugural meeting in 1939, and reports of subsequent meetings. The collection also includes minutes of meeting, etc. from other Labour Representation Committees: Waitakere, North Shore, Rodney, and a small amount of material from Wellington, Dunedin and Manurewa.
